Hello Black Cat fans, My apologies for not posting for a while. All the dust from the building work got into my fur. I looked greasy and dull and so just wasn't feeling myself and therefore not up to writing. However, I have been spurred into creating a new post by my slave's OUTRAGEOUS actions. She bought me; wait for it...... a bow tie!!! The only redeeming feature is that she got me a dark purple, satin one which is quite nice and could have been a lot worse. I saw spotty ones on the website; SPOTTY; NO WAY!! I would look like a clown. Now I know you are all just desparate for a photo...... I am looking a bit indignant in this photo and rightly so. This monstrosity was put on me when I was safely (supposidly) eating my dinner. I nearly choked. And then I got scooped up to have my photo taken. Really, it should be possible for a cat to eat a meal without such things occurring!! Since then I have been fussed and cooed over and told repeatedly how handsome I look. (I heard some people, mainly Facebook friends, mention the word 'cute'. Be warned. This will NOT be tolerated. Claws will come out - you know who you are.) You'll all be glad to know that I have now recovered from the shock and I got to finish my dinner. I'll keep you posted as to weather it grows on me (unlikely!!) Hello all you black cat fans. As promised, this week I have a guest writer on my blog. It is none other than the extremely pretty and comfortingly substantial Peri from Ireland. She lives with her slave, Gaye and her brother Max. I have included a couple of photos so that you can see how pretty she is. I hope you all enjoy reading her thoughts. Peri's Post - Hello to all you wonderful beaders out there and if you don't bead, well shame on you ~ it is the most wonderful way to pass an hour or 20! Oops - I'm terribly rude, I do apologise for not introducing myself - my name is Peri and I am Lewis's fiancé. I love sleeping, eating and beads. I don't have opposable thumbs but I get by - it is amazing what a paw can do. Gaye allows me full access to her beads, which is more than I can say for my brother, Max - he's not allowed near anything since he jumped up on her when she had a tray of seed beads on her knee ~ enough said !! I am famous in my own right of course, having been featured in Bead Magazine - twice. They did ask me to do a regular feature but I declined, after all a girl needs all the beauty sleep she can get and nothing should interfere with that. Gaye doesn't know it but I have my own private stash of beads stored away in case of emergencies. Every so often I steal one and hide it away. My favourite are pink pearls. An extra beading dimension arrived into our house this week. She calls it Shamballa - I call it 'fun with twine' - life is never boring around here. Anyway dinner is just about to be served and if I want to maintain my beautiful shiny coat I had better go and force myself to eat a little bit. Max says hi to all. Bye from me for now and purrs and kisses to Lewis xx Thanks Peri for your entertaining blog. Purr. If any of my other feline friends would like to be a guest writer then please contact me. Until next time, Stay furry, Purr xx Hello... So good news... my slave, Anna is back. I know some cats like to act all aloof when their owners return from being away in order to punish them and communicate their displeasure but this is not really me. Anna definitely has her advantages. She provides food for a start and much more regularly than the other humans here. She's a good pillow and hot water bottle. We have nice cuddles and if I'm lucky I get a brush in the evenings. I like to throw myself dramatically on the floor and roll onto my back. This normally causes the brush to be brought out. However, since she has been back she has been awfully edgy and although I am a very relaxed cat, it is making me a bit twitchy. There are still strange men about doing bits and bobs in the new extension which doesn't help. I think Anna is feeling overwhelmed by the amount of her jewellery products which are out of stock. Since her return she has been making frantically which has kept her so distracted that she has neglected me a bit. This really is not on. I must have a quiet word. After all Anna mustn't over do things otherwise she'll make herself ill. (She has this horrible illness called M.E.) When she gets ill she gets very upset and cries a lot and all this involves far more hugs than I'm used to (although I like cuddles there IS a limit.) Any way....that's all for today. Make sure you check out next week's post as I will have a guest writer. I'm not going to tell you who it'll be yet; you'll have to wait and see. Purrxx The Day That I WANTED To Go To The Vet 21/02/2012
Hello black cat fans, I'm sorry that my blog post is late this week but yesterday I was unceremoniously bundled into a cage and taken to the vet. Now I know that this happens occasionally and it's not something I enjoy being prodded, poked and jabbed but it seems to be a fact of life when living with humans. However, this year was far worse. As soon as I saw the cage I came over all woozy and started having flash backs. This was because last year I was TRAUMATISED!! Anna put me in the cage and shut the lid but what she didn't know (I presume) was that she had shut my tail in the lid. My Furriness did it hurt?!! So I started wiggling around to get free but Anna must have thought that I was trying to get out (I have escaped before) and so she pushed down harder on the lid. This carried on for what seemed like an age ( a few seconds) and in the end it hurt so much that I squealed. Fortunately Anna realised what she had done and opened the lid and freed my tail. THROBBING!! This is the only time that I have wanted to go to the vet!! She checked my tail and said it was fine but I tell you it wasn't fine.....it hurt for a whole week afterwards. When we got home I had to have a serious lie down!! Purr x Avoiding Builders 13/02/2012
Well what a trying week it has been. The humans are having an extension built onto my flat. It's very nice of them really. Anna shares the flat with me and there's just not enough room as it is. She keeps buying beads and they are getting EVERYWHERE!! Sometimes I wonder if she has forgotten who is important around here. Anyway, there have been builders here all week and they will be here for at least another week yet, if not two. Now you may think that this doesn't really affect me as I have moved into the big house whilst my flat is out of action, but I can assure you it does. I can't go on my morning stroll without some huge man walking noisily by and as for private toilet matters..... well lets just say it's not very private any more. I have several 'places' but they seem to have invaded all of them. I have taken to wandering around the house mewing pitifully until I attract a human who then will escort me to my chosen 'place' and be a lookout whilst I do what I need to do. If they don't respond quickly enough then sometimes I freak them out by pretending that I'm just about to 'go' on the beige carpet. Very amusing!! If you have any suggestions as to what I might do about this problem then do post them below. All comments are greatfully received. Hopefully within a couple of weeks life will have returned to normal. Paws crossed. Purr xx The Black Cat 05/02/2012
Hello world. Anna asked me to take over writing her blog for her because she is so busy. Of course I said that I'd be happy to. I also think that I have far more interesting subjects to share with you all than she does. After all I have a much more varied life. I eat, sleep, hunt mice, bird watch, shed hair (in large quantities. I am currently trying for the world record in hair shedding) chat on facebook with my friends Miss Tiggs, Lola, Peri (my fiance), Max and Mercedes ( I have to use Anna's account as she hasn't let me alone with the computer long enough to set up my own) and of course I have my two facebook business pages to maintain, Black Cat Jewellery Store (facebook wouldn't let me have the word 'The' in the title which was annoying) and The Black Cat Accessory Store and I, of course, help with the jewellery making. For those of you who haven't seen a photo of me before, I have posted a photo of my self looking absolutely gorgeous. Until next time..... purr. | AuthorHello. I am Lewis, the black cat and the face of The Black Cat Jewellery Store. My main hobbies are sleeping, eating and jumping on my slave, Anna, in the middle of the night.
